Etymology:

The species is named in honour of Dr. Philip E. BRAGG (Nottinghamshire, England) for his great effort to increase our knowledge on Bornean Phasmatodea which has recently resulted in his brilliant book "Phasmids of Borneo".

PARATYPE, 1 female: NW-Sarawak, Mt. Serapi 600 m, 28.VII.1996 ex coll. FH [Zoologische Staatssammlung, Munich / ZSMC].

PARATYPES, 2 females, 1 female (nymph): NW-Sarawak, Mt. Serapi 600 m, 28.VII.1996 [coll. Frank Hennemann / FH, No's 0324-3 to 5].

PARATYPES, 1 female, 2 males: Sarawak, Mt Serapi, 760m, P.E. Bragg, 27.VII.1991 [coll. Phil E. Bragg / PEB No's 529, 530 & 532].
